Staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the TV app not working upon check-in. The front desk lady sent technical staff and fixed it immediately after receiving the report. Rooms were spacious, clean and cozy. Breakfast choices were plenty and good. Bedding and pillows were good. Toiletries provided were of good quality. Location is great and within walking distance to the tram station. There are convenient stores within 5-min walk. Price was reasonable considering the quality services provided.

Fantastic 3-night stay in Gion, the best hotel we’ve stayed at on our trip to Japan. Rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and the hotel has everything you need (laundry and ice machine, and any extra amenities on ground floor). Staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have, and allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel before check-in and also for a few hours after check out. The location is perfect to explore central Kyoto and only a 10-min walk to the Chion-in Temple and Maruyama Park.

Best hotel we stayed in for Japan! We booked a standard double bed and the room was huge! We were happy we did not upgrade upon arrival as there was no need to in the end. We were sorry we didn't stay here longer and do a day trip or two to Osaka instead, as Osaka is only a 15 min Bullet Train ride and every hotel after this was a let down as they were so cramped and more expensive. There's so much to do in Kyoto too! The bar upstairs is unbelievable and the cocktails and mocktails were unreal. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so lovely!

The coziest, cleanest hotel we stayed at. The rooms are beautiful, divided into riokan and western sections. We enjoyed eating on tatami mats and sleeping on foutons.

Great location, well priced and was offered two adjoining rooms with two beds, unlike other hotels with similar bed requests. Spacious for Japanese hotel. And the location was exceptional - so conveniant and close to everything! You are basically in the hub.
