Clean, functional, and very friendly staff who provided us with umbrellas left behind by other visitors when it was pouring.

I loved my stay at Hotel Torni. I stayed with my family, as it was cheap and we were only there for one night. But it was great. Huge room and bathroom, bed was super comfy. I was able to connect my phone to the TV and use free wifi. And had a simple but filling breakfast delivered to the room in the morning. You can notice features of a love hotel, however this shouldn't deter you from booking as everything was clean, discreet and can still be a great stay for a regular group of family or friends.

Another really good Dormy Inn. They have become my preferred hotel chain in Japan. The rooms are good, communal bath great, washing machines, usually close to public transport.

The staff stands out! So nice and helpful and accommodating!!! Thank you so much..
Hotel is next to Toyama station, very convenient for traveling but also surrounded by lots of restaurants and bars. Good size rooms, clean. It is good money for the value. Breakfast is pretty decent too. A really good option. We wanted to stay an extra night indeed, but they were full, otherwise we would have stayed longer.
It was a wonderful experience for me since this is my first...
It was a wonderful experience for me since this is my first time to snow mountain , the view at Tateyama Kogen Hotel was really stunning .
When i checked in it was very foggy and the next morning i just couldn't believe my eyes the ALPS peak is just in front of my room window . It was so close to me . It's really beautiful with the sunrise .
Since i went there early 1st May , i can only see the snow wall corridor and the beauty of Kurobe dam . The view is really pretty.
oh if you are planning to drive to Ogizawa , don't worry there are plenty of car park but make sure you arrive early . We park our car at Shinano Omachi and took a bus there as afraid can't find parking due to Golden week holiday , I could have drive up there !

I really enjoyed trekking Mt.
I really enjoyed trekking Mt. Tateyama summit, Oyama and Fuji no Oritate. It was such a beautiful autumn color. Jigokudani, ponds, hot Spring around Murodo station. Hotel booking months in advance is highly recommended. I booked mine 5 months before, I only managed to get 3 nights stay. Baggage forwarding service made my life so much easier since there are many transfers to different transportation from Toyama station to Murodo station.
