アタシカデイズ Kumano Kodo Private Beach House, hotel in Kumano

Featuring sea views, アタシカデイズ Kumano Kodo Private Beach House offers accommodation with a balcony, around 11 km from Ubuta Shrine.

We really enjoyed staying at Hisashi’s place. The apartment is perfect for couples or families. It is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It is carefully renovated with a lot of care for Japanese traditional houses. The futons were very comfortable and the breakfast with delicious bred and juice was just perfect. The village itself is definitely worth a visit. It is very relaxed and still offers everything you need. Supermarket, restaurant and especially a great beach just in front and beautiful nature. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt like being at home. We definitely recommend to book dinner if possible. Food is amazing here.

Iruka Onsen Hotel Seiryuusou, hotel in Kumano

Iruka Onsen Hotel Seiryuusou offers a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kumano, 2.1 km from Kumanoshi Kiwakozan Museum.

Well I dont know where to start...I loved the staff and enjoyed navigating our language barrier (since I dont speak Japanese and nobody at the hotel could speak much English at all). I had never experienced an Onsen before and I didn't expect to find the ordeal particularly comfortable because im not used to being naked around strangers but it wasn't awkward at all and was in fact a relaxing, therapeutic and overall wonderful experience! We paid for the inclusion of breakfast and dinner, all the food was delicious and the waiting staff were delightful and professional. I loved everything about my stay at the hotel, and the surrounding environment was magnificent. I wish I could have stayed longer, two night wasn't nearly enough!

Resort Kumano Club, hotel in Kumano

Resort Kumano Club offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring bath, a traditional garden and Japanese-style accommodations.

Even though the breakfast is buffet style, the quality is good. There was ample space in the breakfast area and good variety of food. The free shuttle is also very convenient and we did not have to wait long for one.

It's one of many small towns along the Japanese coast .

It's one of many small towns along the Japanese coast . We picked it as a starting point for our river log rafting adventure in Kitayama. It was outside of the typical foreign tourist itinerary but that was what appealed to us. Our experiences there were wonderful with friendly, helpful people and a nice relaxed atmosphere. After Tokyo and Kyoto, this was just what the doctor ordered!
