This is a real gem, big and well equipped rooms including Lavazza coffee makers, comfy beds and excellent and friendly service. Apparently, the hotel goes back to the early 1900s and was build to accommodate silver miners. I tried really hard to "listen to the walls" but they wouldn't talk. Nicely renovated with a great ambiance at a good price. If you need to stop over to or from Vegas, stop here, it's really worth it.

I wouldn't have stayed there except for its proximity to Death Valley. There is gambling if that interests you....and close to Nevada parks as well. So a good spot to stay while exploring the area.
Been 4 times, so many children this time, cannot understand parents bringing 1 to 12 year old to Vegas, every corner has someone giving away porno cards, almost naked people posing for photographs, crime / shooting are daily. Car hire is a rip off with extra hidden charges like unemployment insurance $5-10 a day, save Nevada tax Every thing has 2 taxes, 99 cents + local + state tax becomes $1.25 or more Hotels now charge for parking was free, one is $20 a day even if you stay 2 hours Rooms also have two taxes + save the planet donation. Food is very expensive, Burger meal for 2 is about £30, expect to pay over $40 for breakfast for 2 evening meal over $60 for 2 in a cheap place, We found Denny the best place to eat. Bus tickets are brilliant, a must. $20 for 3 days, don't use Taxis. Copter rids beware, a 20 minuet flight takes over 4 hours with bus transfers and waiting Still a great place to visit, shows are still the best, stay for about 4/5 days
Nice little town. You can tell they take pride in their city. Appeared there was some Nevada history we could have learned if we had more time. Elko was just a stop over on our way home.
We were only there for one night, on our way to the Grand Canyon. Hope to return and get to experience Laughlin. The Colorado Belle Casino was a great place to spend our first night in Nevada.
Vegas is great if you want to experience consumerism at its best. 2 nights was more than enough for me, any more and I would (personally) be gagging from the overt superficiality and downright extravagant consumerism that the city is known for. I much prefer to use Vegas as a stop between the more scenic, grand landscapes and natural beauty that Nevada and California have to offer. Vegas was a luxury stop for comfortable rooms and a touch of reality from the more surreal and sublime experiences that the Grand Camyon, Bryce Canyon and Death Valley have to offer.
Reno is a great place with lots of tourist activities. Although we are locals from another Nevada town and have lived in Reno in the past I would recommend it as a great vacation place or a good place to stop on ones travel to another destination.
Stateline is a great location close to the shops, bars and resterants also not far from Nevada beach drove around the whole of Lake Tahoe and stateline looked the best place to stay due to the closeness to all the things to do
Take a tour of the strip Go to Fremont Do the Helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon it it’s within Budget Definitely do the Red Rock Scooter ride (I had never ridden a scooter and Scooter Steve taught it to the whole group within 30mins!) - Trust me on this, it’s a great way to explore Nevada dessert in a short time and you’ll be in good hands coz Steve is so knowledgeable about the whole area! Have a good buffet (Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Aria) Visit a Strip club (don’t get too drunk coz Vegas sucks you in!)
I went for 4 days/nights for a stag do. Very little time to do sight seeing but I did do Grand Canyon - an absolute must! Other than that it was drinking, gambling and pool parties. 4 days/nights for this purpose is perfect. Any longer and I'd probably be cashing in on my holiday insurance. But if you're going for the sights, to discover the good places to eat and travel beyond the state of Nevada you'd need a minimum of a week just to scratch the surface.
A stopover town, not a destination town, when travelling through Nevada. It has most amenities and a large range of restaurants and lots of gambling options (if that’s your thing). Traffic is light, petrol ok, and an open and friendly place.
1) I was en route to California via Reno. Due to Reno's proximity to Lake Tahoe etc., the hotel prices are generally high for Nevada. This hotel in Fallon is nearby and is reasonably priced. 2) The hot breakfast was FABULOUS. The variety of selections was huge for a hotel its size. The lady who worked there was very welcoming and worked diligently to keep everything well-stocked. Their coffee also tasted better than most hotels'. If you stay here, don't miss the breakfast and the coffee!
I have been staying at the Whitney Peak since they opened in 2014 (I was so excited to find a hotel in Reno that wasn't a casino!) - and it has just gotten better over time. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, very clean, and nicely decorated and all of the staff is friendly and professional. We love the location - we can easily walk to the River Walk, the Nevada Museum of Art and some of our favorite restaurants (we also love the restaurant in the Whitney Peak). It's also a great value.
Beatty
- Laundry is available onsite, bring your own detergent. Detergent was sold out for the entire period we were there, it was not refilled, or you could drive to the other side of the town and check if the sister hotel has some left. - On the edge of Beatty (Nevada), one of the closest accomodation to the National Park entrance with moderate pricing compared to other states. - Beatty is a lot cooler than Death Valley, especially at night. - Service stations and restaurants are nearby.
Our stay was really great. Actually the resort was everything we needed after busy journey through Utah, Arizona and Nevada. Really comfortable room and bathroom. Great restaurant with fair prices and great staff (Jerry you were amazing :) ) Spectacular swimming pool with stunning views over the mountains. Beautiful hotel surroundings with very well maintained garden. Last but not least - great location when you want to visit Death Valley. Really recommend this place!
We were very pleased with the location of the Motel and the size and cleanliness of the rooms and the property. Although the impression that staying in a motel is not as nice a hotel, Bristlecone Motel has been one of the nicer places we have stayed. We will definitely be visiting Ely, Nevada again and will be staying at the Bristlecone. Also, we traveled with our small dog and she was welcome on the property. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations.
Baker
this hotel was buy far the most surprising of our road trip. on our way to Great Basin we stopped there. literally located on the border of 2 states. Nevada and Utah. the gas station is in one state and the hotel in the other one. you have the 2 states sign outside of the hotel. the room were comfortable with a private bathroom. the night was really calm and the entrance of Great Basin is only 20 minutes away. the staff was really nice and helpful.
Hotel Nevada was built in 1929 so if you want a modern hotel this isn't for you. The hotel has an awesome atmosphere and it is very unique. Rooms are old and some are small and shower temperature can vary. But if you want a memorable stay in a nice kind of eclectic hotel this place is awesome and the staff is wonderful. Plus they treat motorcycles great providing cleaning supplies. Breakfast is at Dennys on site
Ramada hotel - Elko Nevada. I was grateful to arrive at the Ramada. My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and since then I feel like they must have painted the walls and done a little upkeep to the rooms. The price is very reasonable and pet friendly. It was a great deal for the price. The beds were really comfortable and it was extremely clean and affordable. The shower was nice and clean too.
Great location for the Hoover Dam - this is the first Casino you arrive at in Nevada from Arizona - historically was a leader in its field. Entrance hall traditional. Staff lovely. Good breakfast food and options. Decor dated in rooms - but clean. Casino and hotel very quiet - not sure where all the customers were. although we arrived quite late and left quite promptly.
Clean room, nice staff, very good complementary breakfast, modern, quiet, pleasant and comfortable, seeems to be a new hotel in backyard of big old Casino building, good lokation for Boulder City and Hoover Dam, we stayed one night as starting point for our road trip through nevada, az, route 66, california a.s.o., would stay here again at any time!
Location was as good as it gets for access to Valley Of Fire State Park which by the way is a little gem, a microcosm of all the best bits of Nevada and Utah. The hotel is not fancy and the breakfast could have been a bit better but perfectly adequate and all in all good value given its location.
such a sweet little hotel, very spacious. You could tell it was recently renovated or remodeled. It was very clean and the staff was amazing. Unfortunately we were just passing through but the town was so cute, be sure to eat at the coffee cup. I would fly back to Nevada just for this town!
Elko
The room was fine but Elko is a very expensive town due to Nevada Gold Mines being the largest employer in the region. They use a lot of contractors for temporary work who fill the motels/hotels. The motels/hotels take advantage of this and charge exorbitant amounts to stay.
We need to stay in the middle of Nevada on our driving trips from Bay Area, California. Tonopah is our usual overnight top and we are very satisfied with Belvada Hotel. We plan to stay there again when needed. We did not have the breakfast there, so no comments.
Great location in central Stateline, Nevada. Close to beaches, shopping, entertainment, restuarants. The lodge was older, but clean, large rooms with fireplace, kitchenette was great, separate bedroom was nice. Staff was great and very friendly.
The hotel was well set up and the parking lot was huge with many choices and even some shade from the hot summer sun. Staff was great, exceptional actually and I would choose this again if I find myself in this part of Nevada.
The Hotel is Beautiful in and of itself. The bed and sheets were decadently comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend to anyone visiting Tonopah Nevada.
Having been “avalanched” in the Sierra Nevada, and having managed two days after to arrive to Reno, we were looking for a hotel in front of the airport. This Hyatt is the place for that. Nice staff. Very clean place
The staff is absolutely amazing. We have stayed at this hotel for many years the night before the Nevada Day parade. The rooms are always clean. Even with the negatives the hotel is a good value.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean. I was very surprised at the quality of the hotel, considering it was basically in the middle of nowhere, Wells Nevada.
