I spent 2 nights in Niigata because the hotel I wanted was booked out. I recommend spending there at least three nights. I visited Yahiko, a city nearby, which has a gorgeous park with Momiji trees, it was beautiful at the end of October. However, I had only a small amount of time for Niigata itself.

Days before checking in at Country Hotel Niigata, I was in Tokyo and Nagano and my schedule was crazy, I hardly got quality sleep. But when I was in that hotel, I got all the sleep I needed because it was so quiet, the room facilities were just right, and the hotel staff were nice and friendly.

The facilities provided by the hotel were good and convenience. The inhouse convenience store was a big plus - convenience to buy any necessaries without going out from the hotel. The location is good too, close to train station as well as bus stops. Nearby restaurants and izakaya were a lot as well.
