Best hotel and facilities we had in our 5 week trip in Japan. Location on the river is stunning, with views from our room or the beautiful lobby. Our western-Japanese combo room was enormous and luxurious, with two king single beds plus 2 optional futons in the separate tatami room.
Facilities are second to none, with two public indoor/outdoor onsens included in the price, and three private onsen rooms (additional fee). The massive dining room offered a huge range of western and Japanese food for breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. Given the facilities, friendly helpful staff and incredible location - we would definitely stay here again on returning to Japan.
Entajiso offers indoor/outdoor public hot-spring baths and traditional multi-course meals. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and guests stay in Japanese-style rooms.
A 7-minute walk from beautiful Kurobe Gorge, Enraku offers Japanese-style rooms with Kurobe River views. It features hot spring baths, a beauty salon and a charged sauna.

The surrounding area offering a pleasant opportunity to explore the local culture, food and desserts. Additionally, the accommodation is conveniently located near Unazuki Onsen Station, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.

It is a lovely place, with good service and clean rooms. Meals are good too. It is a small place so it is easy to walk around.
I would avoid arriving at night , esp for guests who are just staying for one night .
Make sure to check the operational dates for the Kurobe Gorge Railway

Kurobe is a bit out of the foreign tourist destinations, and the village itself is a gem, perfect for relaxing days. The amazing Kurobe Gorge train Torokko is not to be missed! The train goes through the superb gorge, a very unique landscape in Japan.

Largely unspoiled area in the Japanese Alps.
Largely unspoiled area in the Japanese Alps. The Alpine Trail was exciting, although expensive. Then the onsen and Torokko train were amazing. The Kurobe River is an unusual aqua blue with beautiful white rocks in a deep gorge. I want to go there again.

We added another night after we got there, because we wanted to make sure that we saw the Gorge (which was absolutely gorgeous). The village was quaint and quiet as we were early in the year. Not many spoke English there and we knew no Japanese, but people would find someone.
The hotel had one person who had lived in Australia for 3 years and he was very helpful and friendly. He sent us to a restaurant that had an English speaker the one night when we did not have reservations at the hotel. The dinner that we did go to at the hotel had a 10 course dinner! Other dinners wore traditional apparel. The English speaker helped us to know what we were eating and went out of his way to get us answers to some of our questions.
