The people in Medellin were very friendly, very helpful and very welcoming. It was worlds better than my experience in Bogota, the people there didn't even want to speak to us. There is also alot more to do in Medellin than Bogota, especially night life related. And Bogota was waaaaay too cold, Medellin was just right. (PS I'm from Jamaica, so I'm use to the heat)

Medellin is great. The public transportation is wonderful.
Medellin is great. The public transportation is wonderful. The people are very friendly and more than happy to assist tourists. The variety and quality of food is outstanding. You have to learn to keep some small coins for beggars or just say no and keep moving or tell them to go away. We felt safe everywhere we went, walking on dark streets at night but we were in Laureles but often off the beaten paths going to local restuarants.

Medellín is very rich in culture.
Medellín is very rich in culture. The locals were very welcoming and informative. I felt very safe there as a black woman. Uber is the best way to get around to any places that aren’t walkable for you. The food is great, my favorite restaurant of my stay was Idílico. Reserve the chefs tasting if you can, you won’t regret it. Book a day trip from Medellin to Guatape through Viator, you will love it. Take a moment to visit Comuna 13. I’ve never seen anything like it. Book an exotic fruit tasting/cocktail class as well. Medellin was definitely a trip to remember!

It was a beautiful city with a lot of green space.
It was a beautiful city with a lot of green space. I really enjoyed the energy and resilience of the people. I did not feel unsafe, not anymore than any other large city. I also stayed smart and watched my bags for pickpockets, which was my biggest concern. I avoided areas and activities that could get me in trouble. The metro was easy to maneuver.

Look very closely the hotel and room you rent to include the amenities.. I have stayed in over 6 different hotels in the range of $60-$87. It was very difficult to find a good hotel that met my basic needs
1- Ac that works, not fans
2- A good breakfast or at least a place to eat close by
3- Security or lighting when returning at night
4- Clean working bathrooms with hot water and knobs that don't fall off
5- No surprises when checking in or out with surprise fees
When you find one like I have stick to that hotel the next visit or go up in price range

Comfortable weather. Awesome food, beer and coffee.
Comfortable weather. Awesome food, beer and coffee. You can plan your whole trip around the city with Uber, super safe and cheap. Hear the advise of the locals, they know better. Plan for a whole afternoon on "Comuna 13", immerse yourself in the culture, have dinner and do your shopping. Withdraw money on the "BanColombia" ATM's, they have the better rate. Book the Guatapé trip, but make sure that they stop at "Altos del Chocho". Tip your tour guides and waiters, they work for it.
This hotel in a "real" neighbourhood in Medellin, was comfortable, clean and friendly. The bed and sheets were top quality. The room was small, but had room to store our clothes and suitcases. The staff were excellent, and like so many others we have met in Colombia, very friendly. The neighbourhood is full of families going about their lives, with great fruit stands and grocery stores nearby. We walked everywhere, even back to Poblado to sample a restaurant we had missed the previous visit. An interesting neighbourhood.
This is the BEST boutique hotel i have stayed in in the whole of Colombia, the location is amazing the staff are amazing and very helpful and friendly , the rooms are done to a high standard and decorated lovely. Everything is perfect and I have stayed twice and will definitely be returning. Walking distance to the main area, very safe and secure. And the breakfast is delicious also. Air con in rooms is brilliant and huge tv with apps and Chanel’s great Wi-Fi also. 10/10! Brilliant
so the music is loud because you are in a Colombia Medellin little party bubble.. if you come here like that’s just what it is. they know it and so
should guests. I thought they were insanely respectful, helpful staff, good food, and amazing food/drink prices. The location is right by the poppin area. The city is super green and dope. close by all amazing eats like 1-5 mins walking. wish my room had some windows but all in all I enjoyed it. also shower was que bueno
Good Hotel. Based on my research, probably the best hotel in the Centro area for the price. The hotel is clean and modern with art as a theme which was cool! The room is comfortable and overall no complaints with this hotel. The staff are professional and attentive. They aren't as warm as other hotel staff at other stays I had in Colombia but no big deal, they are definitely not rude. I would recommend this and I would stay again without hesitation.
Great hotel! The rooms have air conditioning and warm water to the bathroom tap which is unusual for Colombia. It is two blocks away from Setenta but still quiet as far as street noise also two blocks from the metro. The room door has a solid lock with a deadbolt. The cable TV has many channels including ones from the United States where some can be set to audio English. Free breakfast from 7-8:30, you have to get a ticket every morning.
El Refugio del Juaguar is definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The place is amazingly decorated in jaguar theme, the rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. Also, we had the best huevos (scramble eggs) for breakfast. But most of all, the staff, and especially Tatiana, is extremely kind, always present and available for any necessity you may have. They made our stay the best hotel experience we had in Colombia!
Prime Location!, delicious breakfast, very friendly, lovely frontdesk agents all three, spacious bedroom, very quiet neighborhood, although the busy la 70 is right there. You can withdraw cash at bancolombia right on the corner, exito supermarket is very close, mondongo's restaurant also very close. The famous la 70 is right there walking distance, lots of hotels restaurants. I will definitely stay here again in a couple of months
I loved the location of this hotel. The area offers all the amenities you need with options to walk, uber, cab, catch the metro, or whatever you need. The neighbourhood is both quiet and full of activity, and has to be one of the greenest in all the cities in Colombia. The staff were excellent - just really lovely people all around; so helpful and so kind.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The place clean and comfortable. There was a couple of restaurants right next to the hotel (Peruvian & Colombian food). There was a Smartfit right below the the hotel. Although the hotel did have a decent gym on the 8th floor of the hotel. Breakfast was good and had a good variety.
Our room in hotel was very nice and modern. Location of hotel is in safe neighbourhood with a lot of restaurants around. It is close to metro station. Room was clean. We had even hot water, fridge and water kettle in our room which is not common in every hotel in Colombia. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Highly recomended.
I liked the friendly staff and the excellent restaurant. The waitress kindly offered me a beer and apologised for a short delay then
I was kindly served dinner in my room. The steak and chips was the best I've had in Colombia. The cleanliness of the hotel, room and bathroom was excellent. Thank you. I will return.
New hotel with super friendly staff. Fredy is a gem!! The rooms are great with the best beds we had so far in Colombia. The hotel is in a quiet area but with plenty of restaurants around in walking distance, far away from the noisy Parque Lleras (15 min walk). El Poblado Metro is a ten minute walk
I traveled to Medellin for 2 days with my sister and we all loved the hotel. Excellent customer service. The hotel is very clean and beautiful. One of my sister left her travel pillow and they even contacted us to let us know. If I ever go back to Colombia, I will stay at Landmark again.
This was my second time coming to Medellin and this hotel has an amazing location in the heart of El Poblado and a two minute walk to Parque Lleras. The breakfast was really good and the staff were super friendly! The views from the rooftop, especially at night, were unreal!
I like a lot of things about Hotel Med Colombia, the staff is very professional and helpful, strong WiFi into the room, the shower has hot water, which is great. Also the location is fine, near the stadium and metro.
I will come back there for sure. Recommended!
The hotel is within walking distance (5 minutes) near restaurants and bars. The breakfast is limited but good and offers the Colombian traditional breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a nice and safe neighborhood.
The location is great - easy walk to other Poblado destinations. Like most places we experienced in Colombia, the staff were amazing and worked very hard to please their guests. The rooftop bar had awesome views. Breakfast was great.
Veeery nice hostel, so far our favorite in Colombia! Rooftop is excellent, included breakfast one of the best hotel breakfast. Great location, nice common areas. Nice rooms and very quite at night!
I liked the location of the hotel and the staff friendliness and kindness. Hotel was clean and comfy, and they serve a typical colombian breakfast everyday.
