The room I had was excellent: top floor, very quiet, very large, great view of the beach and coast. The hotel onsen is large and well equipped with a warm pool as well as hot. You can walk straight out of the hotel onto the beach, which is very sandy.

Spacious, very comfortable rooms. In the corner room we had a rotating sofa, so we could enjoy view from different perspectives. Very helpful staff, special thanks to Mr. Tran Hoang for his excellent customer service

This place is huge..there is a large hotel plus quite a few cottages as pictured. We actually stayed in a group of apartments that were a bit different to that pictured. The site looks like it had big plans but when we were there there were very few people around. Maybe in summer if would have more people and maybe a nicer vibe if the pool opens (dirty and unkempt when we were there in April). So a bit on the tired side but pretty cheap also. Location was great and plenty of bikes to hire which was nice to ride through the foreshore amd forest paths

Fly to Miyazaki Airport from Tokyo (1hr 40mins) or Osaka (1hr 10mins) for domestic travellers. International travellers can connect via Tokyo or Osaka. Alternatively, take a JR Kyushu train from Fukuoka (4hrs 30mins). No direct sea routes available.
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Miyazaki Airport, due to its proximity and direct flights. It's approximately 6 kilometres from Miyazaki city centre.
Miyazaki, Japan, offers various public transport options. The Miyazaki City Bus and Miyazaki Kotsu Bus service the city and surrounding areas. For longer distances, the JR Kyushu trains are efficient. Taxis are also readily available. Cycling is popular, with bike rentals accessible citywide. Driving is an option, but remember Japan drives on the left.

Miyazaki is incredible. The people are friendly and kind.
Miyazaki is incredible. The people are friendly and kind. The scenery is breathtaking. The food is amazing. I recommend the local foods like chicken nanban and jidori, which you can get at most restaurants and izakayas. There's also a lot of citrus themed snacks and drinks, as hyuganatsu is a popular fruit. Miyazaki is also famous for beef and mango.
It's also a great place for people who like history and legends. Many of the shrines are very old. There are many "power spots" related to the Shinto legends and gods.
There are mountains, beaches, rivers, shrines, museums, cafes - all kinds of places to visit. I highly recommend visiting Miyazaki if you can.
Regarding transportation, it is one of those places where renting a car is ideal. It can be a little difficult to travel around without a car here. It can be done, but if you don't have a lot of time to spend on public transportation I would recommend getting a car. Additionally, Miyazaki is a popular place for motorcycles, especially in the countryside on the winding mountain roads.
Overall, Miyazaki is a great place to visit!

The hotel is just next to the train station which is super convenient. It is the best JR hotel that I've stayed so far. The room is big and spacious. It is pretty new looking bright and clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. Execellent!

I’ve been here four times.
I’ve been here four times. Great spot for relaxing and chilling. Beach is a hop skip and a jump away.
Weather is of a tropical warm nature.
If you’re travelling from Miyazaki airport by train, it’s a bit complicated as you have to change and wait for another train from Nichinan line. As for returning to the airport, it’s a bit confusing which train to board at the changeover platform.

Miyazaki is a wonderful city.
Miyazaki is a wonderful city. It's like a different side of Japan with such natural scenic views. Lush greenery, blue waters, flowers and friendly people await you. One thing is that the nice spots are difficult and or take long to get to, so driving is a good choice. This is not to deter those who don't drive as there are tons of places to visit, waterfalls, gorges and so on. One should consider some of the places not advertised. If you can spend many days then you can visit one place at a time to soak in more. Visitors can get a one-day bus pass which saves a great lot of money.
Some places to visit are Florante, Heiwadai Park, Amagajo Park, Takachiho Gorge (go very early if you want to do the boat ride) Sekinoo Falls, Nagata Gorge, Sun Messe Nichinan, Udo Jingu Shrine, Aoshima and Aya City with the suspension Bridge.
Places to eat include: Ogura Honten and Maruman which are close to and in Nishitachi respectively. Namban and Charcoal Chicken are two delicious dishes which can be enjoyed there. Don't leave without trying them!

We have limited days of holiday, we drive all day long from Fukuoka to Miyazaki and the main purpose is to visit Sun Messe Nichinan. I have never thought that such a popular tourism access area is closed on Wednesday. Public Access Tourism Area should have open all day long... We are very disappointed and we also found other tourist faced the same issues.

It's a lovely small city which is perfect for a 3-day trip.
It's a lovely small city which is perfect for a 3-day trip. There are trains and buses that allow you to travel around the city easily. I stayed there for 3 days and went to see the stunning views nearby, such as Takachiho and SunMesse Nichinan.
There is a section at the lobby which provide (no limited serving) welcome Japanese Shochu (liquor) where most other hotel provides only tea and coffee. Staff are friendly and there is a public car park opposite the hotel. Short few minutes walk from the hotel there are restaurants and shopping street. Also directly opposite the hotel there is a store selling a varieties of mochi (Japanese rice cake). A bit expensive for the supposedly popular ones but not too bad. I patronised a restaurant that had tasty Ramen.
The best sharehouse I have ever been to. Beyond cleanliness and comfort matching or exceeding hotels: nice decorations, free amenities (coffee, snacks, etc), and the nicest people! I also choose to add surfing lessons and it was a blast that topped off the end of my trip perfectly. There are bikes available to take around town and to the beach as well. Could not recommend more for those who want to enjoy the beach, or to really to anyone in the area!
All rooms have a front sea view where you can enjoy the sunrise early morning. Ideally located with direct access to the beach and running tracks and all surrounding touristic places. Onsen facilities are exceptional and very well maintained. A delight.
Lots of parking space infront and immediately close to the hotel
The hotel is nice and easy to find, about 5 minutes walking from the train station. The parking is underground, which is more convenient compared to ferris-wheel facilities in many central hotels. The room was standard, as described. The staff was friendly, helped us with storing our luggage for the last day
We can park our car at the hotel and walk to Nagasaki Station in 10 mins for dinner. We need to pay 800 yen for our child's breakfast. It was not included the price when we booked. But the breakfast is great enough. The room is great but I think the price is expensive than it should be.
The view was awesome 😎 especially sitting in the shared kitchen dinning area where friends and family can enjoy! It was nice to experience a Japanese style sleeping in tatami mats and futon. I highly recommend this place if you want to be away from the city and enjoy surfing.
The good vibes here set us up for a wonderful few days in Miyazaki. The owners are a warm, friendly family. The other guests were great. The facilities were clean and had everything we needed. With free bikes and a wonderful seaside bike path nearby. See you in Canada! 😁
I would definitely recommend to stay in this hotel, a special mention to the reception team who was so kind and welcoming 🥰!
The room is super nice and comfortable, and the hotel is located right next to the station!
Thank you so much
It’s not a hotel. It’s a guest house so be prepared. It’s nice and cosy with a very nice view of the sea from the room. Very interesting experience for me this trip (while sitting in the stairs) 😅
Free night ramen, morning probiotic milk, flow of ice cream. Good location with a lot restaurants within the hotel. Onsen is quite small but good enough. Sho
