Perfect location for our stay. The women's hot spa was clean and perfect. I used it both nights of our stay. Breakfast was a little confusing because we just walked in without anyone to greet us. However, we enjoyed the breakfast food.

The receptionist was very nice. She texted me when I was there late and use her translator to communicate with us.
At that time, we are only one guest there. So it's like we are privilege guest.

This was an interesting place, one our most memorable (in a good way) of our multi-stay ten day trip around Japan. We stayed here off-season two nights and thoroughly enjoyed each. They serve wonderful breakfasts and dinners of which we were both highly impressed at the care and professionalism in the preparation and presentation. The rooms are very comfortable with beds that gave each of us some of the best sleep we had during our trip. The bathroom and shower facility was equally excellent.
Go here to relax. Don't go here expecting to be wowed by sites etc as there is little to do in the town. It was just the thing for us. We did some walking and it is a quick trip by taxi (or a good walk) to the train station where it is easy to make an excursion or two (be sure to check out Himeji Castle).

Most everything was wonderful— the staff, the beautiful castle view from the room, the location. The room was spacious and well-kept.
Right next to JR Himeji Train Station, Hotel Nikko Himeji features a fitness center with indoor pool, massage services and a 15th-floor bar.

The hotel is located literally next to the train station, there is an easy access to buses. You can reach the castle and the museums on a lovely, straightforward walk. The room was small (especially the bathroom), but more spacious than rooms in other Japanese hotels. Included all the usual appliances. The tv set had some English language channels (yay!). The room was pretty dated, would merit some refurbishment. The staff was lovely and helpful, spoke limited English. Breakfast was fabulous (big variety, both Japanese and Western options), but the huge dining space was still too small for all the guests (a lot of organized groups), so if you were coming between 7 and 8 am - you needed to wait for a table. Loved the cafe downstairs, on the ground floor.
