We loved everything about this hotel, its location, its decor, the size of the rooms and bathrooms, how clean and fresh everything felt, its breakfast made to order and their great customer service.
It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque.
It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque. Nice parks to walk around, plenty of restaurants and cafes. It's small so easy to get around by walking. Did not partake of the hot springs but this town definitely famous for them.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village.
Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

We only stayed in Caldas de Reis as we were walking the Camino Portugese. We saw lots of things that'd been nice to further explore if we'd had a couple of days there....river, historic buildings etc.
Amazing unique hotel with a natural pool with the river water running through it. The staff were very professional and clearly wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are large and well appointed. Being able to have dinner out in the grounds on wrought iron furniture and white linen (with a cardigan on) was a luxury you expect in hotels that are significantly more expensive .
This was a newly renovated pension spotlessly clean. it was right in the center of Caldas de Reis. Sonia the person who greeted us told us about the thermal pool at a nearby hotel- Hotel Acuna.. ? for € 10 you could use the pool for the entire afternoon. We soaked our weary pilgrim bodies there .. it was spectacular after a long hot day on the Camino
The most amazing hotel I’ve ever been in. The staff was amazing and the food was great. We arrived from an exhaustive Camino walk right before a deluge of rain. A river runs through the property, and we were able to watch it rise overnight. We were willing to quit the Camino if we could have stayed another night!
The property facilities were incredible -- after a long day it was incredible being able rest and recover in the pool. The bed was comfortable, shower had great water pressure and staff was friendly too. Location is very close to town center, only a short walk to stores and restaurants. My favorite stay in Spain
Elegant hotel on the Camino. Mercedes was a wonderful host. After checking us in, she provided information on what to see and where to eat. Her restaurant recommendation was fantastic. Breakfast consisted of coffee, croissants, eggs, freshly squeezed juice and much more.
An Absolutely amazing find in Caldas de Reis. Just like a home from home while walking the camino (right on the camino path too). The host could not of been any more amazing. Everything you needed to have a clean and comfortable stay. Thank you so much.
Most importantly, our host. Miguel was so hospitable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He went out of his way to help us. We stayed at his properties in Pontevedra and Caldas de Reis and they were by far our best stays on the Camino.
It is a hotel converted into an alberge so you have max four people per room with your own bathroom and shower.
I have done nine Caminos. This is the best Albergue I have been in.
And they have a Cafeteria restaurante.
Stylish and extremely comfortable Boutique Style small hotel with the added bonus of a swimming pool. Terrific communal relaxation area with honesty box for Wine and Beer and great coffee and tea making facilities.
I really liked how we were able to use the sister hotel up the street. A brilliant touch and made this worthwhile. They were extremely accomodating to my gluten free and dairy free needs which is rare here in Spain!
Basic but very clean room. Super friendly owner who made me a nice sandwich. Next to the church of Caldas de Reis, so very centrally located. Ideal for a pilgrim.
Excellent hotel in a rural setting. Lovely staff and rooms and we great food. We got a taxi to the hotel - 10 euros- and got a free lift to the camino.
