Convenient store 450m from the property and onsen just 5 mins walk from the property. Definitely will come back to stay if I’m in Gojo again , last but not least thank you Mr.Shogo offer to pick up us from the JR station .

The host, Yoko made all of the guests feel right at home, even going out of her way to provide a good experience and socializing with other guests. The beds were big and comfortable, and I slept well in the shared bunk room. Overall an amazing experience staying here, a highlight of my trip to Japan!

The property is away from town and very quiet and peaceful, allowing for a good night's rest. The included breakfast was home cooked and piping hot - vegetable soup, potato omelette, salad, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and home baked bread, butter and jam, coffee or tea. There is hot water, coffee, tea, and biscuity snacks available downstairs 24/7. There are just 2 rooms, both upstairs, in traditional Japanese style - tatami and futon. The hosts are both charming, and extremely helpful, picking up from the nearest station and helping me changing my train ticket. I will stay there again if I come back to Yoshino.

I also enjoyed the host, Jerome, showing me the garden and allowing me to pick vegetables with him to cook. The place is well stocked with needed amenities, and the host did a great job explaining how it all works. Next time I'm in Japan I will try to come back to Nara just to stay here!

We loved absolutely everything at Irodori. The ryokan is beautiful, thoughtfully and artistically designed, very quiet and spacious. She served the best cup of fresh ground coffee I've had in my 4 weeks travelling throughout Japan. She was helpful in meeting our train late in the evening and helped us forward luggage to another hotel a bit further out on our journey.

The guest area was pretty spacious (especially for 2 people), and we had a private entry and exit. I would gladly stay here again!
