Nothing Booking dot com is equally responsible as they had not evaluated property right way it is not listed as hostel nor guest house and they are charging very high rates We had asked for egg bread as breakfast but they had no such thing. It should have listed in right way and all the information should have provided properly

This hostel was so wonderful!! The place itself is very cozy and clean, and the location is very close to the train stop. Taketa itself is a really cute town that was fun to explore! But the best thing about this hostel were the staff, who were so friendly, helpful, and kind :) I loved my stay here and would come back!

We used Taketa as a base for day hikes so didn’t explore the town much. The main town is compact and quaint with narrow little streets and a bit of a sleepy feel. To be fair, this was a Monday evening and not much was happening. Had one of the best meals in Japan there at a little French fusion restaurant called Champi (a break from Japanese). Amazing food (5-6 little courses), lovely owner/chef and very reasonable cost. Also plenty of wine options. Also used the public onsen - well maintained and old-school. I recommend it.
